Terms of Service

By paying on or using topstartup.lol (the “Service”, operated by topstartup.lol) you agree to these terms.

1. What you are buying

A payment places your startup on a public leaderboard for the current round, ranked by total amount paid. You are buying temporary placement and nothing else. We do not promise clicks, traffic, customers, or any result. Placement ends at the next bell (16:00 UTC) and the board resets.

2. Payments are final

All payments are processed by Stripe and are final and non-refundable, including when you are outranked, when a round ends, or when your listing is removed for breaking the Rules. Initiating a chargeback bans your domain permanently.

3. Donation

For every completed payment we donate US$1 to a San Francisco nonprofit serving people experiencing homelessness. This is our commitment, not a condition of your purchase; donations are made by us in aggregate, are not tax-deductible for you, and totals are published on the site.

4. Your content

You are responsible for the name, tagline, URL, and handle you submit, and you confirm you have the right to promote that company. You grant us a license to display it publicly, in share cards, and on social media. We may edit or remove content at our discretion.

5. Acceptable use

No scraping, automated bidding, payment fraud, or attempts to disrupt the Service. No prohibited content as listed in the Rules.

6. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, downtime, or data loss.

7. Changes

We may change these terms, the rules, belts, pricing, or the reset schedule at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We may discontinue the Service at any time.
